Egypt and Japan discussed boosting agricultural exports, technology cooperation, and joint investments.
Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, met his Japanese counterpart on the sidelines of the G20 Summit 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Madbouly highlighted the current opportunity to establish a Japanese industrial zone in Egypt within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, noting that Japan is one of Egypt’s major partners.
He also emphasized his eagerness to expedite the finalization of the memorandum of cooperation on technical education, currently being coordinated with JICA and the Japanese Embassy in Cairo.
The Prime Minister stressed that this partnership with Japan, as a key development partner, carries significant importance for Egypt.
